Job Title: Research & Development Specialist

Location: Leduc, AB

Schedule: Full-Time

Our client is seeking a Research & Development Specialist to support product development, testing, equipment evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, safety-focused, and eager to contribute to innovative research and development projects.

What's the Job?

  • Assist with research, development, testing, and evaluation of products and equipment.
  • Assemble and disassemble tools, components, and equipment for testing and analysis.
  • Conduct inspections, document findings, and support continuous improvement projects.
  • Operate hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist with product modifications, troubleshooting, and prototype development.
  • Perform heavy lifting and material handling as required.
  • Turn and handle pipe and other industrial components during testing and assembly processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Collaborate with team members to support R&D objectives and project timelines.

What's Needed?

  • Previous experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or research and development environment is considered an asset.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with team members.
  • Ability to follow verbal directions accurately and efficiently.
  • Physically capable of performing heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
  • Experience with assembly and disassembly of tools, equipment, or machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and enthusiastic about learning new skills.
