Full job description

Magic Mountain in Moncton is currently accepting applications for individuals to assist in the maintenance of our facility. Applicants must display a strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised. These positions will perform maintenance work throughout the park including on rides and attractions. Work may be indoors or outdoors.

These positions are full-time seasonal positions that typically run from approximately March to Nov/Dec.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance.
  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance.
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them.
  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
  • Other duties as required.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

  • Proven maintenance experience.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
  • Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Ability to use common tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Professional presentation and attitude.
  • Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crawl and operate tools/equipment with both hands.
  • Must be able to climb and be at heights.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for up to 10 hours per day and lift heavy objects.
  • Must be able to travel to the US periodically for training and certification.
  • Must be able to work share of weekends and holidays during the operating season.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8-9 months

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
