Full job description

Working virtually, this Content Strategist will also attend regular meetings, agile ceremonies and not be afraid to speak up and be candid, rationalize their work, assess and implement feedback and negotiate with partners when needed. They’ll also support three agile teams in total, each focusing on a specific area of the Online Banking experience.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with design partners, product owners and the larger content team to ensure content supports and enhances the product to meet business objectives and drive bottom-line results
  • Being a leader in the content space, making strategic decisions as part of our cross-functional agile teams, from pitch and conceptual briefing to final copy and proofing
  • Create original web copy to motivate engagement and conversion, tailored to a Canadian audience
  • Develop carefully written short-form content to represent more complex actions
  • Present initial and final copy to stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to support content choices and negotiate/compromise when needed
  • Take a proactive approach to improving existing copy, as well as develop governance guidelines for ensuring maintenance, and removal of outdated content
  • Manage and maintain copy decks from start to finish (including internal client revisions, legal/compliance feedback, technical updates, accessibility copy)

Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ Degree or Diploma in English, Digital Communications or similar
  • In-depth knowledge of digital/mobile and user experience
  • Experience in the Financial Institution digital space
  • Mobile and desktop application experience a plus
  • 3+ years of experience writing content
  • Strategic project management skills & the ability to educate and gain sign-off from senior stakeholders
  • Experience executing a successful online customer experience through content
  • Strong communication skills and excellent writing and presentation skills; self-motivation and creativity
  • Resourceful self-starter who can analyze complex problems quickly and methodically
  • Ability to work remotely for the time-being due to COVID-19 barriers
  • Ability to work independently, with a disciplined and organized approach
  • Team player and relationship-builder, able to effectively work cross-functionally and gain consensus when needed
  • Must have a portfolio / samples of UX writing

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
