Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in language instruction, and classroom management.

This role offers an opportunity to inspire students through fun and engaging virtual classes. The French Teacher will be responsible for creating lessons that foster language acquisition and cultural understanding, utilizing modern instructional tools and methods. Experience with instructional platforms/remote teaching is highly valued. This position is essential in supporting our mission to provide high-quality education tailored to diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver French language curricula aligned with educational standards.
  • Design engaging lessons that incorporate instructional principles, including speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills.
  • Lesson planning, assessments, and student progress tracking.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with disabilities or special education needs, ensuring an inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with students individually or in small groups to provide tutoring and personalized support.
  • Assess student performance through tests, assignments, and observations; provide constructive feedback to promote improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary lessons and share best practices in classroom experience and teaching strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students and assigned staff regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences and engagement.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience instructing French at various levels.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage students of different ages and cultural backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with instructional platforms for instructional delivery and assessment management.
  • Knowledge of instructional design techniques tailored for language learning, including tutoring strategies.
  • Ability to develop creative lesson plans that integrate writing, listening, writing, and speaking with cultural content.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple classes simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Certification or degree in Education, French Language Teaching, or related field is required.

Teaching Schedule

  • Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 6PM to 9PM remote instruction

Teaching starts August 10th

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9.0 per week
