School Overview
Nebula Academy embarked on its journey as an accredited independent school in Edmonton in 2014. Since then, it has continued to grow, reaching a total student enrollment of more than 300 in the 2024- 2025 school year, with further growth anticipated in the coming years.
Nebula Academy offers educational programs for elementary (Grades 1 to 6) and junior high (Grades 7 to 9) levels, in addition to early childhood services (ECS). ECS includes kindergarten and educational programming for children as young as 3 years old. At all education levels, Nebula Academy follows the Alberta Education curriculum and program of studies. The required subjects in each grade are taught by homeroom teachers certified by Alberta Education. Nebula Academy prioritizes the academic excellence of its students and dedicates all available resources to meet their needs. Our goal is to create a fulfilling school environment where students feel a sense of belonging and grow as individuals who are academically equipped, at peace with themselves and others, and accepting of diversity. In addition to the Alberta Education curriculum, Nebula Academy introduces Islamic studies programs from kindergarten to grade 9 to cater to students with diverse backgrounds. This program includes language and faith-based subjects within the instructional hours.
Nebula Academy is committed to fostering the professional development of our educators and equip the teachers with the necessary materials and resources to support their success in the classroom.
Nebula Academy is a member of the Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta (AISCA), an organization that supports high standards of education in independent schools.
