Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated educator to provide high-quality instruction tailored to our students' unique needs. The ideal candidate will understand diverse teaching methodologies, have strong communication skills, and be committed to fostering a nurturing, inclusive learning environment for the 2026-2027 School Year.

Position requires a generalist teaching background and the ability to instruct across multiple subject areas in alignment with the Alberta Program of Studies.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Alberta curriculum and educational standards.

· Adapt instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs of individual students and groups.

· Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages critical thinking and self-discovery.

· Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate multiple subject areas.

· Employ effective classroom management strategies to establish a positive learning environment.

· Provide ongoing assessments and constructive feedback to support students' academic growth and development.

· Actively engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching proficiency and remain current with best practices.

· Build strong partnerships with families, the Sikh temple, and the broader community to promote the holistic development of students.

Pre-employment Requirements:

· Candidates must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

· The successful candidate will be required to submit a current Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of their employment start date.

· Applicants must attach a professional letter of reference from their most recent supervisor relevant to the position, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the last 12 months, or provide an updated list of references from a current or recent supervisor.

· Recent or new graduates: Please submit your final practicum report in place of a reference letter.

Qualifications:

· Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate (Required).

· Bachelor of Education Degree or an equivalent qualification recognized by Alberta Education.

· Familiarity with various teaching methodologies and multiple intelligences.

· A minimum of one year of recent classroom teaching experience in Canada is required.

· Strong understanding of the Alberta Program of Studies.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

· Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

· Adaptability and flexibility in teaching approaches within a diverse classroom setting.
