ROLE SUMMARY

As a Bartender at The Frederick, you are at the heart of the guest experience, crafting exceptional cocktails with precision and creativity while sharing your knowledge of spirits, wine, and cocktails. You'll set the tone for memorable moments by delivering warm, genuine hospitality and ensuring every guest feels welcomed. Collaborating seamlessly with the front-of-house team, you'll maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, balancing efficiency with attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating an inviting atmosphere.
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations on cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
  • Craft high-quality, consistent drinks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Keep the bar area clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Monitor inventory and manage stock levels responsibly.
  • Follow food safety, allergy, and responsible alcohol service protocols.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and other operational tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house and management to ensure smooth, seamless service.
  • Accurately handle cash and POS transactions.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture focused on excellence and hospitality.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar is preferred.
  • Valid Smart Serve certification.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Exceptional hospitality, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and speed.
  • Strong team player and communicator.
  • Able to work long-standing shifts and perform physical tasks like lifting and pushing.
  • Flexible to work full-time hours (4+ shifts per week), including Sunday and Monday availability, and evenings.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to commute to and from the restaurant, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
