Full job description

T&T Power Group is a T&T Power Group is a power generation, distribution and automation sales and service company. We expertise in building industrial control packages for solar, pumping, mining, and generator applications.

We specialize in building industrial control packages for solar, pumping, mining, and generator applications. We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the opening of Lead Production Technician. Your responsibilities will serve our production and service efforts in our Port Coquitlam, BC facility by oversee shop production floor and team (3 - 4 panel techs), Ensure productivity and quality expectations are being met, assist with day to day production, assist with problem solving and scheduling.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Oversee shop production floor and team
  • Able to direct and keep on task as small team of 3 to 6 production workers
  • Drilling and tapping control enclosure back-pans for hardware placement
  • Fastening wireway/duct, din-rail and other components to the back-pan
  • Cutting holes in control enclosures to accommodate fans, pushbuttons, HMI’s mounted in the panel doors or walls
  • Baying and assembly of large modular controls enclosures
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work area in the mechanical bay

Requirements:

Preference will go 4th year electrical apprentice but we will accept applications from someone who well established in the electrical trade with leadership experience or someone who is eager to get into the electrical trade with relevant experience.

  • Willingness to take responsibility of a task and work unsupervised
  • Know how to keep a clean workspace
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to work with tight deadlines
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics
  • Control panel experience (VFD and PLC)
  • Willing to lend a hand with a variety of different tasks
  • And most Importantly... YOU MUST be willing to work hard, have fun, and immerse yourself in the culture of our fantastic team
