Overview:

ABM Integrated Solutions is looking for a solutions-focused Level 2 IT Services Technician to join our team in Calgary, AB! In this role, you'll take on advanced technical challenges - from troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues to support deployments of systems across multiple environments. You'll be an escalation point for frontline support and a trusted expert for both our teams and customers.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role that requires a high degree of technical skill, clear communication, and a strong commitment to delivering reliable service. You'll regularly travel to customer sites within Calgary, work independently, and tackle a wide variety of infrastructure and systems tasks - no two days will be the same! Primary Responsibilities:

  • Resolve escalated support tickets from Level 1 Technicians involving servers, networking, and cloud applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on client environments, including patching, backups, and end-point management.
  • Provide on-site support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting for customers that issues cannot be resolved remotely.
  • Deliver professional, customer-focused service while working independently at customer sites.
  • Collaborate with Level 3 team members on client infrastructure improvements and technical projects.
  • Maintain and update client technical documentation.
  • Assist with the deployment and configuration of workstations, networking gear, and cloud tools.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal stakeholders regarding issue resolution.
  • Participation in on-call rotation and after-hours assistance as required.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of technical support in an MSP environment.
  • Strong understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, modern networking concepts, and cloud services (M365, Azure).
  • Experience using Linux (Debian), Proxmox, & Proxmox Clustering considered a big asset.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience participating as a technical resource in infrastructure upgrades, system migrations, or deployment projects.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and documentation skills.
  • A valid class 5 Canadian drivers license and willingness to travel as required to customer sites.
