The System Administrator & Security Analyst will be a core member of the Enterprise Solutions team, responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's infrastructure and security environment. In close partnership with the Director of Information Security & Infrastructure, this role will help support and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient technology capabilities that enable CAA Atlantic's strategic and operational objectives.

They will be energized by complex challenges and committed to ensuring infrastructure and security solutions are reliable, high-performing, and aligned to evolving business needs, while supporting continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

nfrastructure & Operations

  • Maintain and optimize enterprise infrastructure across our full enterprise architecture and environments to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance aligned to business needs.
  • Administer servers, networks, enterprise applications, and end-user environments (including mobility platforms such as smartphones and tablets).
  • Manage core infrastructure services including firewalls, VPN access, wireless networks, and system availability.
  • Support change management and operational processes to ensure consistency, security, and service quality across all IT systems.

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Support the execution and continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity program.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, operating procedures, and awareness materials.
  • Lead or contribute to enterprise vulnerability and patch management processes.
  • Stay current with emerging threats, best practices, and technologies, including evolving areas such as AI security.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI to automate operations, monitoring, or security workflows
  • Support secure adoption of AI tools within infrastructure and IT operations
  • Contribute to evaluation of emerging AI technologies

Incident Response & Resilience

  • Participate in and, where appropriate, lead incident response activities, working closely with internal teams and external Security Operations Centre (SOC) partners.
  • Support incident preparedness through simulations, response planning, and continuous improvement of response capabilities.

Governance, Compliance & Reporting

  • Support internal and external security audits, regulatory compliance activities, and third-party risk management.
  • Develop and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and security metrics for leadership, including the Executive team.
  • Provide input into enterprise information security strategy, policy, and service delivery.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance infrastructure performance, security posture, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, providing expertise in infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity to support business transformation.
  • Support the secure adoption of emerging technologies, ensuring alignment with organizational governance and risk management practices.

Collaboration & Support

  • Work collaboratively across IT and business teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Provide occasional support for Tier 1 service desk activities during peak periods or team coverage needs.
  • Manage vendor relationships and support contract coordination where required.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support business continuity.

AI & Emerging Technology

  • Support secure adoption and operation of AI-enabled technologies
  • Contribute to AI risk assessments, governance, and compliance activities
  • Stay informed on AI trends, risks, and best practices

Qualifications

  • Completed bachelor's degree in computer science/software engineering or College Diploma in a related technology field
  • 8+ years working in a dynamic IT Ops environment
  • Experience with Azure Administration would be a strong asset.
  • Experience or certification with industry recognized certifications and standards such as ITIL, NIST, OWASP, etc. would be an asset.

Pay: $68,000.00-$102,000.00 per year
