Job Summary
The Kitchen Supervisor plays a critical role in the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food preparation and service meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage kitchen staff effectively while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the food industry, with a strong focus on cooking, meal preparation, and food safety.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including meal preparation and food service.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to plan menus and prepare high-quality dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Assist in cooking and food preparation when necessary to meet service demands.
- Handle any customer inquiries or complaints regarding food quality or service.
Skills
- Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, with a strong background in cooking and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and maintenance practices.
- A passion for the culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
