Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment are currently working with a leading technology business operating within the aviation and critical infrastructure space, delivering high-performance, real-time systems into safety-critical environments.

We are supporting the hire of a Senior Systems Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working on advanced airport and air traffic solutions used globally.

This is a hands-on role focused on system integration, deployment, and performance optimisation, offering exposure to complex, real-world systems that directly impact operational safety and efficiency.

The Role

• Work closely with stakeholders to define system requirements and technical specifications
• Support the design, integration, and deployment of complex systems into live environments
• Install, configure, and test operating systems, applications, and system tools
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements
• Collaborate with software and systems teams to resolve technical challenges
• Produce technical documentation, training materials, and operational guides
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices
• Manage multiple projects concurrently across international locations
• Provide technical input to support ongoing and future project opportunities

What We’re Looking For

• Degree-qualified in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
• Strong experience delivering complex, real-time or mission-critical systems
• Proven background across the full systems lifecycle, including verification and validation
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSI model)
• Experience working with Windows, Linux, and/or UNIX environments
• Exposure to Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Eligible to obtain security clearance
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30–40%)
