Kunafas – Brampton, ON

Kunafas is a Middle Eastern sweets and dessert restaurant looking for a reliable, hardworking, and experienced Grill Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment and takes pride in preparing high-quality food while maintaining excellent cleanliness and food-safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage the grill station during service
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Kunafas recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is cooked properly and presented consistently
  • Prepare ingredients and maintain adequate stock at the grill station
  • Keep the grill, cooking equipment, counters, and surrounding areas clean and organized
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
  • Monitor food quality and freshness throughout the shift
  • Communicate with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Follow opening, closing, and cleaning procedures for the grill station
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Previous grill or kitchen experience preferred
  • Experience in a Middle Eastern restaurant is an asset
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Able to work efficiently under pressure
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Food Handler Certificate is an asset

Pay: $17.60-$18.60 per hour
