We’re Hiring!

We are currently looking to fill a full-time, permanent position for a Power BI Developer at our Leamington ON facility.

What You'll Do:

  • Enterprise BI Ownership & Governance
  • Own and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all Power BI reports, datasets, and dashboards.
  • Analyze existing BI assets to identify overlap, redundancy, and gaps
  • Clearly document and communicate what each report does, who it serves and the data it uses
  • Define and enforce Power BI standards and governance, with authority to define workspace, dataset, naming, security, certification, and publishing practices in partnership with IT leadership.
  • Ensure reports are clear, concise, actionable, and aligned to business needs.
  • Data Enablement & Architecture
  • Understand and document how and where data is sourced (ERP, operational systems, DevOps pipelines, external data)
  • Guide Business Units on how to properly obtain, model and use data in Power BI
  • Serve as a data translation layer between business users and technical teams
  • Partner with ERP and DevOps teams to:
  • Design and maintain reliable datasets
  • Improve data pipelines and refresh performance
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency
  • Power BI Development & Review
  • Create and maintain core enterprise reports and certified datasets
  • Review and support BI reports created by departments to ensure:
  • Accuracy
  • Performance
  • Proper data modeling
  • Adherence to security and governance policies
  • Assist teams in troubleshooting complex queries, measures and data models.
  • Technology & Innovation
  • Evaluate and recommend new BI and analytics technologies
  • Support the evaluation and phased adoption of Microsoft Fabric.
  • Stay current on:
  • Power BI feature updates
  • Microsoft Fabric roadmap
  • Analytics and data platform best practices
  • Work with IT Leadership to align BI tools with enterprise strategy
  • General
  • Comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Nature Fresh Policies and Procedures.
  • This job description highlights the main components but is not inclusive of other activities that may be required.


What You Bring:

  • 4+ years building reports and datasets in Microsoft Power BI (Desktop and Service)
  • Strong hands-on DAX and Power Query (M) skills
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and analytics concepts — star schemas, relationships, and semantic models
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and general data warehouse concepts
  • Experience working with and sourcing data from ERP systems (financials, operations, supply chain preferred)
  • Ability to work with DevOps or Data Engineering teams
  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in Microsoft Fabric
  • Excellent communication skills — able to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to clarity, accuracy, and usability
  • Strong troubleshooting skills — able to identify and resolve complex problems with limited information and changing conditions
  • Hands-on and process-oriented, always looking to improve how things are done
  • Experience in enterprise-scale BI environments (preferred)
  • Background in data governance or analytics enablement
  • Experience training or mentoring BI users (preferred)
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to the rapid growth, innovation, and development of the company
  • Critical thinking and ability to make timely decisions; good judgment and fairness are key.


What To Expect:

  • Works Monday – Friday in office but must be available to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and extended hours as needed.
  • Primarily office-based, with occasional visits to greenhouse, warehouse, or operational areas to understand business processes and reporting needs.
  • Fast paced environment working with a wide array of people/cultures in a team setting.
  • Occasional after-hours support may be required for critical reporting, system maintenance, month-end, or operational deadlines.
  • Working with minimal supervision during the day but also communicating with different individuals and teams across our facilities and from external organizations.
  • Most of the day is spent in the office – walking sitting and standing throughout the day.
  • Use of stairs/elevators.
  • There may be an occasional need for some heavy lifting up to 30lbs (when needed).
  • Required to visit all locations that require walking/standing that may be in a cold warehouse or hot greenhouse setting.
  • Must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
