As a senior leader at PICS, you will oversee our Decision Impact portfolio, build trusted relationships across sectors, and help ensure that climate research leads to meaningful and measurable outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Influence climate policy and decision-making across British Columbia.
  • Build strategic partnerships with governments, Indigenous Nations and organizations, researchers, industry, and civil society.
  • Lead a talented team focused on research mobilization, policy analysis, and decision support.
  • Guide high-impact research syntheses, advisory initiatives, and strategic projects.
  • Help grow the reach, relevance, and influence of one of Canada’s leading climate institutes.
  • Contribute to organizational strategy, leadership, and long-term sustainability.

We’re looking for someone who brings:

  • Senior leadership experience at the intersection of climate policy, research, and decision-making.
  • Expertise in climate mitigation, adaptation, and climate solutions.
  • Experience working with governments, Indigenous organizations, and decision-makers.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • A passion for translating knowledge into action and impact.

Position details:

  • Location: Victoria, B.C. (Vancouver may be considered)
  • Salary: $130,000–$145,000 annually
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits plan
  • Term: Three-year full-time appointment (with potential for renewal)
  • Application deadline: July 10, 2026
