Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Maker to join our culinary team. As a Sushi Maker, you will play a vital role in creating high-quality sushi dishes that delight our customers. Your expertise in food preparation, cooking, and food safety will ensure that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sushi rolls and other Japanese cuisine with precision and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests when necessary, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable.
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards to create visually appealing dishes.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with sushi making techniques and knowledge of Japanese cuisine is highly desirable but we can teach you everything as long as you have experience in any other cuisine.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
  • Experience in the food service industry, particularly in a fast-paced environment, is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$22.00 per hour
