Job Overview

Join our vibrant team as a Server at Sushi Mura Richmond, where your energy and passion for hospitality will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. As a key member of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional customer service, ensure food safety standards are met, and foster a welcoming atmosphere. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of our sushi offerings to enhance their dining experience
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Serve food and beverages with enthusiasm, upselling menu items to maximize guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including food handling and sanitation practices in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and timely delivery of orders
  • Manage guest inquiries professionally, resolve concerns promptly, and promote a positive atmosphere through excellent guest services

Qualifications

  • Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking efficiently
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards required for safe operations
  • Basic math skills for cashiering and transaction accuracy
  • Experience in hospitality or serving roles is highly valued; kitchen experience is a bonus
  • Demonstrated ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experiences
