Sushi Chef – A+ Sushi | Winnipeg, MB

About Us
A+ Sushi is a well-established sushi restaurant in Winnipeg, serving a wide variety of fresh sushi, sashimi, and Japanese dishes. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our kitchen team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare sushi, sashimi, maki rolls, and other Japanese dishes to our quality standards
  • Select and handle fresh fish, seafood, and ingredients daily
  • Prepare sushi rice and manage mise en place
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
  • Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, timely service

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a sushi chef (or equivalent)
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
  • Valid Manitoba Food Handler Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

What We Offer

  • $20–$25 per hour, depending on experience
