Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team. This role is essential in providing an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a passion for the food industry with knowledge of sushi and sushi restaurant customs, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a member of our Front of House team, you will be responsible for ensuring that every guest feels welcomed and well taken care of.

Duties

  • Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, utilizing basic math skills for cash handling.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to assist guests in making informed choices.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations while preparing and serving food.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining tables, service stations, and restrooms.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery to guests.
  • Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a sushi restaurant is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is a plus.
  • Ability to handle food preparation tasks as needed while maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
