Overview

Join our vibrant culinary team as a Tempura Kitchen Staff member at Sushi Mura Lougheed! This exciting role offers an opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, dynamic restaurant environment. You will be instrumental in preparing delicious tempura dishes, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional food service to our valued guests. Duties

  • Prepare and cook tempura dishes following established recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with food handling, storage, and ingredient preparation to maintain freshness and safety
  • Support the kitchen team with meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace according to food safety regulations
  • Handle food safely during preparation, cooking, and serving processes
  • Assist serving staff when necessary to ensure smooth food service operations
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to uphold a safe working environment for everyone

Experience

  • Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and kitchen safety practices is highly desirable
  • Experience in cooking or meal preparation, especially in Japanese cuisine or tempura dishes, is a plus
  • Familiarity with the food industry standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
  • Prior experience with serving or assisting in food service settings is advantageous but not mandatory
