Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef, specializing as a Roll Man, to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling high-quality sushi rolls that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant’s reputation for excellence. Duties

  • Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi rolls with precision and creativity, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
  • Handle food preparation tasks including slicing fish, vegetables, and other ingredients with care and accuracy.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, adhering to strict food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Assist in managing food handling procedures to ensure freshness and safety of all ingredients used.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently executing meal preparation tasks.
  • Follow established recipes, portion control guidelines, and quality standards to deliver exceptional dishes.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service, particularly in sushi preparation or Japanese cuisine, is highly preferred.
  • Strong skills in food handling, cooking, and meal preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Previous experience serving customers or working directly with guests is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
