Full job description

Pinnacle Hospitality owns and operates several hotels and restaurants in Vancouver, North Vancouver and Whistler.

We are seeking a Sushi Chef to join our culinary team at one of our downtown Vancouver locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sushi preparation, excellent knife skills, and a dedication to delivering authentic Japanese cuisine.

This role offers an opportunity to showcase creativity, precision, and a commitment to quality in a dynamic restaurant environment. Candidates should possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for culinary excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble sushi dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness
  • Ensure ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated regularly
  • Assist in menu development by suggesting new sushi creations and seasonal specials
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Uphold the restaurant’s reputation by consistently delivering high-quality sushi dishes

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or cook or similar role in Japanese cuisine
  • Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
