Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. In this role, you will craft high-quality sushi dishes, maintain impeccable food presentation, and ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests. Your expertise in sushi preparation and culinary skills will contribute significantly to our restaurant’s success.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and consistency according to established recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Source fresh ingredients daily, inspecting quality and freshness before use
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate service flow and manage workload efficiently
  • Educate junior staff on sushi techniques, presentation, and safety protocols
  • Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs for restocking
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and professionalism at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
  • Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
  • Passion for culinary arts with an eye for presentation and quality assurance
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Experience working in a restaurant setting with a focus on customer satisfaction
