Senior Sous Chef - Mizunara (Adelaide & Duncan)

Hi, we’re Mizunara, nice to meet you!

We’re a 60+ seat contemporary Japanese Whisky focused cocktail bar & restaurant that offers modern food to pair with the aforementioned whisky and cocktails. Our concept focuses on familial service, local ingredients, and a smooth whisky base for many of our drinks, all set in a warm and elevated atmosphere.

We’re looking for a candidate to join us who wants to learn more about elevated food & drink and deeply cares about making memorable experiences for our guests.

Requirements:

  • A team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable standing for long hours and occasionally lifting heavy
  • Free to work some late nights and/or weekends
  • A strong leader

Who you are:

  • Calm, detail-oriented in high-performance environments
  • Diligent and earnest in your work quality and efforts
  • Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset
  • Fine dining experience is mandatory

Responsibilities include…

  • A full understanding of our offerings, preparing all dishes to proper specifications
  • Maintaining consistent presentation, flavour and service timing
  • Following health, safety, hygiene and sanitation practices
  • Keep kitchen clean, organized and efficient
  • Work closely with front of house staff and your chefs, ensuring smooth service
