Position Summary

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to support clients in Grand Forks. This position is casual part-time to start, with the opportunity for additional or full-time hours as services continue to expand in the area.

This is a community-based, on-site role providing personal care, companionship, daily living assistance, and household support to adult clients in home and community settings. The successful candidate will work independently while following care plans and maintaining ongoing communication with Spectrum management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Yardwork
  • Support routines, structure, and healthy daily habits
  • Perform light housekeeping and home organization
  • Complete laundry, dishes, and general tidying
  • Provide companionship, emotional support, and conversation
  • Complete mandatory progress notes after each shift
  • Follow Spectrum policies and individualized care plans
  • Communicate client updates or concerns to management

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience in caregiving, home support, personal care, community support work, or similar roles considered an asset
  • Clear Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
  • Current First Aid & CPR certification
  • WHMIS 2018 certification
  • Food Safe Level 1
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
  • (Spectrum does not provide sponsorship)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Must be fragrance-free (no scented products, sprays, detergents, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
