Annie’s Place provides home support services in Lower Mainland and Victoria. We provide care for seniors, people with disabilities, families taking care of elderly parents and children, respite care, post-operation, and transition support (home to assisted living to hospital to long-term care).

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides home support services to clients, such as assisting with activities of daily living (personal care: showers and dressing ), planning, companionship, preparing meals, light housekeeping, meds assist and appointment accompaniment.

Job description: We are looking for LICENSED HEALTH CARE Aide Certificate Workers who will be working in Victoria, BC area.

Below are the following requirements.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Care Plans and maintain accurate client records utilizing the appropriate documentation
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients promoting physical and emotional independence.
  • Clear understanding of the accountability and expectations that are associated with transferable skills/delegated tasks
  • Effectively communicate changes in the client condition to your supervisor and maintain effective relationships with other team members
  • Proactively identify, promote and seek to improve client safety as part of your everyday work, and seeks support from the Nurse Supervisor for responding to medical and ethical dilemmas

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Health Care Assistant / Residential Care Aide Certificate, or equivalent experience and training is required.
  • Must be registered with the BC Care Aide registry 2-3 years of care aid assistant experience is required
  • Valid driver's license is an asset
  • Access to own vehicle is an asset
  • Ability to perform lifting and bending when assisting clients may be required
  • A current Criminal Reference Check
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written) and exercise good judgment is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kilograms may be required
  • Ability to use technology for communication is required (Email)
  • Additional language would be an asset Italian, Spanish, German, French, or English etc

Job Type:

  • Per Hour: $21 to 23 (before taxes) per hour- wage range is based on experience
  • Support Care: 2 year+ (Preferred)
  • Work location: Lower Mainland

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
