Join Us! This is a wonderful opportunity to become part of the EverKind Care Team as a Registered Care Aide serving Victoria and surrounding areas including Saanich, Langford, Colwood, Esquimalt, Sooke, and the Saanich Peninsula.

We offer flexible shifts ranging from 2 to 12 hours, with availability DAY SHIFTS. With availability for evening, nights and overnights.

Must have a vehicle with class 5 drivers licenses, business insurance and 3 million liability insurance.(or willing to obtain)

The Role

As a Caregiver / Registered Care Aide with Everkind, you’ll make a meaningful difference every day by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of our health care team
• Observing and reporting significant changes in a client’s condition
• Medication assistance
• Supporting independence with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Helping with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, and toileting
• Assisting with household tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Encouraging and motivating clients to participate in their care
• Providing input into care planning to ensure services meet client needs
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients and staff

What You Bring

• Graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (with BC Care Aide Registry Number)
• Home health or hospice care experience
• Current First Aid/CPR certification
• Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully, both verbally and in writing
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
• Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Business‑use insurance with a minimum of $3 million liability coverage
• Willingness to work on the Saanich Peninsula — or living on the Peninsula is strongly preferred
• Clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening
• TB test
• Flu and Covid vaccines up to date
