UPI Staffing is a family operated staffing organization that provides Direct Support Professionals to group homes for individuals with developmental disabilities. We offer day, afternoon and night shifts including weekends with the flexibility to choose your own schedule. UPI has a great company culture with a longstanding management team who care about our people.

This position is a great supplement to your current employment while also offering the opportunity to work full time hours depending on availability.

Casual, Flexible hours to fit your schedule. Hours range from 24 to 40 hours a week.

Competitive rate of pay ranging from $25 per hour plus 4% vacation pay and paid stat holidays

Responsibilities:

To provide meaningful and accountable support and services that will have a positive impact on the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities.

· Support residents with activities of daily living, behaviour management, life skills

· Engage and support residents in community activities, appointments

· Administer medications

· Preparing meals and light housekeeping

Qualifications:

· Must have DSW, SSW, CSW or PSW Diploma

· Documentation of full Covid-19 vaccination

· Minimum 1 year experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities

· Certification in CPR and First Aid

· Safe Management Certification or be willing to obtain

· Can meet the physical demands of the position

· Valid G-class driver's license and have a reliable vehicle

· Must have an updated police check with vulnerable sector search

· Experience in approved behavioural intervention techniques an asset
