As a Home Care Worker with Compassion First Ltd., you will provide personal care and support to clients in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and support, while maintaining confidentiality, accuracy, and compassion

Overview:

We're seeking compassionate and self-motivated individuals to join our team as Home Care Workers in the Summerside and surrounding areas, as well as Charlottetown and surrounding areas. As part of our Home Care program, you'll have the opportunity to support the independence of our clients by providing essential services such as housekeeping, errand assistance, companionship, and more. In this role, you'll work independently, using your initiative to ensure our clients receive the highest level of care and support in the comfort of their own homes. Requirements

-*Strong mental stamina:* Ability to cope with the emotional demands of working in a fast-paced environment, managing stress, and maintaining a positive attitude in the face of challenging situations

-Valid driver's license and full insurance

-Own transportation

-CPR & First Aid

-Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sectors Check

-Preference given to candidates with Human Service, RCW, or similar backgrounds

Responsibilities:

Tasks will vary from client to client, and may include:

-Light and more thorough housekeeping

-Meal prep and budgeting

-Errand assistance, ranging from grocery/medication pickup to in store shopping

-Body doubling to assist in tasks

-Laundry assistance

-Transportation to and from appointments

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 25.0 per week

  • French not required

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Class 5 Licence (required)
