Full job description

We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and organized Assistant Administrator to join our team at a large residential care facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is committed to supporting both staff and residents in delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all of the administrative functions of the facility, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
  • Support frontline staff and assist with facility issues and residents when required
  • Help cover occasional staffing shortages as needed
  • Contribute to maintaining the welfare, safety, and well-being of both residents and staff
  • Communicate effectively with external agencies, medical facilities, ODSP and other service providers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a residential facility, dealing with a marginalized population, or as a PSW / Social Worker preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Flexible and dependable, with a willingness to step in where needed

Facility:

  • A large independent living facility
  • This is NOTa nursing home or care home
  • Environment can be challenging but rewarding

Requirements:

  • A current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
