We're Hiring: Compassionate Caregivers | Home Instead

Location: In-Person, Local Community
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time
Salary: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Approximately 15 hours per week

Your Role as a Caregiver

As a Caregiver, your responsibilities may vary based on client needs, your experience, and personality. These could include:

  • Companionship and engaging conversation
  • Light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
  • Escorting clients to appointments and errands
  • Supporting clients with Alzheimer's and dementia
  • Personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Palliative care
  • Mobility support
  • Creating a positive, safe, and enriching environment
Requirements

  • Must be awake during all assigned shifts
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Clear criminal background check
  • OFA First Aid Level 1 – Required
  • Food Safe Level 1 – Required
  • WHMIS Certification – Required
  • Must have a Class 5 Driver's Licence, own vehicle, and valid auto insurance
