Job Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Health Care Aide specializing in in-home care, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized, respectful, and professional care to clients within their homes, promoting independence and well-being. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable environment for those in need of assistance, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving hospice care. Duties

  • Assist client with multiple sclerosis activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Support patients with medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when required
  • Document care provided accurately and communicate any changes in condition to supervising healthcare professionals

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in patient care, senior care, hospice care or working with individuals with disabilities or dementia
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and effectively
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends Sunday & Saturdays
