Leachman’s Plumbing & Heating – Fredericton, NB

Leachman’s Plumbing & Heating is seeking a highly organized, systems-driven Inventory Controller to take full ownership of our inventory operations across warehouse and service vehicles. Help build and implement our new inventory system PLY. As well as recreate what it means to handle inventory for our company.

This is a critical role responsible for ensuring our technicians have the right parts, in the right quantities, at the right time — without overstocking, shortages, or wasted capital.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Implementing PLY inventory system
  • Full ownership of warehouse and vehicle inventory
  • Setting, maintaining, and enforcing min/max inventory levels
  • Building and managing truck stock programs for each service van
  • Monitoring inventory metrics, shrinkage, usage, and variances
  • Ensuring inventory accuracy between physical counts and software
  • Coordinating purchasing to prevent stockouts and overbuying
  • Performing audits and cycle counts
  • Identifying slow-moving, obsolete, or excess inventory
  • Supporting operations by reducing downtime caused by missing parts

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience with inventory control, supply chain, or operations (trade or service industry experience preferred)
  • Comfortable enforcing systems and standards
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership
  • High attention to detail with a process-driven mindset
  • Strong communication skills — able to work with field technicians and management
