Salary Range: $125,000+ Incentive: Percentage of Net Annual Margin

Opening Statement
This Logistics Branch is a traditional brokerage office supported heavily by the Accord asset capacity and market presence. The Branch was established in in 2006 and has grown to a be midsize, quite profitable, brokerage office supporting 500+ loads per month.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with existing brokerage experience to passionately dig in and take this branch to the next level. This individual needs to have excellent people skills. strong carrier connections and excellent current market rate knowledge. There are an abundance of existing customers that need concentrated focus to grow share of wallet along, with new opportunities arriving on a daily basis through our long standing relationships. Along with the overall standard job task listed below, in the first 90 days, this individual will be tasked with the following:
· Establishing on site leadership presences and engaging with current operations staff to ensure business continuity
· Hiring and mentoring at least 2 new sales executives
· Sourcing and establishing a new office location somewhere in the Surrey / Langley area
Position Summary
The Branch Director is responsible for the overall leadership, growth, profitability, and operational performance of the business unit. This role will lead and support operations, customer service, carrier procurement, and account management personnel while fostering a culture built on accountability, communication, service excellence, and execution.
Success in this role is achieved through the development of strong carrier partnerships, deep market rate knowledge, effective leadership, and a relentless focus on operational execution. The Branch Director must ensure that freight moves efficiently, customers receive exceptional service, carriers remain engaged and committed, and employees are provided with the leadership and support necessary to succeed.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused transportation professional who possesses a well-established carrier network, exceptional industry knowledge, and a proven ability to lead teams while driving profitable growth.
Core Responsibilities
Leadership & Staff Development
- Lead, mentor, coach, and support team members across operations, customer service, carrier procurement, and account management.
- Create and maintain a positive, accountable, and high-performing work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews, establish development plans, and provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Recruit, train, and retain talented transportation professionals.
- Foster collaboration between departments and branch locations to improve overall company performance.
- Establish clear expectations, measurable goals, and performance standards for all team members.
Business Growth & Strategic Development
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve revenue, gross margin, and profitability objectives.
- Identify opportunities for growth through market intelligence, customer development, and carrier partnerships.
- Monitor market conditions and transportation trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strategic growth plans aligned with company objectives.
- Support customer retention and organic growth through exceptional service and relationship management.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term business planning and strategic initiatives.
Carrier Network Management
- Build, strengthen, and maintain a high-quality carrier network capable of supporting customer growth and service requirements.
- Develop long-term strategic relationships with carriers, transportation providers, and industry partners.
- Maintain current knowledge of carrier capacity, equipment availability, market conditions, and pricing trends.
- Ensure carrier partnerships support consistent service, competitive pricing, and operational reliability.
- Identify and onboard new carrier partners to expand service offerings and network capabilities.
- Serve as a trusted resource for carrier relationship management and issue resolution.
Operational Execution & Service Excellence
- Maintain ultimate accountability for branch service performance.
- Ensure all shipments are managed with a strong focus on on-time pickup and on-time delivery performance.
- Drive operational excellence through clear communication with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor service KPIs and proactively address performance issues before they impact customers.
- Lead service recovery efforts and customer escalation management when required.
- Promote disciplined operating procedures that improve visibility, communication, and execution.
- Ensure branch objectives are achieved efficiently and cost effectively while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Customer & Internal Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Act as a key leader in customer retention and customer satisfaction initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with sales, operations, procurement, accounting, and executive leadership teams.
- Support strategic customer opportunities, contract negotiations, and service implementations.
- Represent the company professionally within the transportation and logistics marketplace.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within transportation, logistics, freight brokerage, or supply chain operations.
- Demonstrated success leading transportation teams and growing business units.
- Extensive knowledge of domestic Canadian, cross-border, and U.S. transportation markets.
- Strong understanding of truckload, intermodal, and specialized freight services.
- Established network of carrier contacts and transportation partners.
- Proven ability to negotiate rates, secure capacity, and manage carrier relationships.
- Strong knowledge of transportation pricing, market cycles, and capacity trends.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, margins, and P&L performance.
Pay: $125,000.00-$145,000.00 per year
