POSITION OVERVIEW

BCW Traffic Management Ltd. is a leading traffic control company in BC looking for experienced Traffic Control Supervisors (TCS) in Kelowna/Vernon. The person will work closely with management team in the pursuit of successful execution of projects and growth opportunities. This position reports to the Operations Manager of BCW Traffic Management Ltd.

Experienced Traffic Control Personnel Wanted ( Experience Is Must )

Positions Available:

  • Traffic Control Supervisor (minimum 2-5 years experience)

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Valid TCP Certification
  • Previous Traffic Control Experience is a must
  • Reliable Transportation is a must
  • Strong Communication Skills is a must
  • Ability to Work Outdoors in Various Weather Conditions
  • Safety-Focused Attitude
  • Participate in the daily toolbox meeting.
  • Be always professional
  • Represent BCW traffic management and perform your job to best of your ability.
  • Familiarity with construction and traffic management drawings
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Must have ability to multi-task and use sound judgment to prioritize activities
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to excel with limited supervision
  • Out of the box thinker who is creative in problem solving to meet client needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide buffering services to client’s workers on the highway by operating BCW Scorpion.
  • Verify and meet safety expectations.
  • Correct improper and unsafe work activities and conditions.
  • Identify any new workplace hazards and taking steps to ensure everyone stays safe.
  • Ensure trucks maintained according to manufacturers specification, mileage tracked to reduce fuel spend.
  • Ensure equipment is tracked on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Provide training to teammates
  • Liaise with clients and ensure a healthy open working relationship is developed and maintained.
  • Work with management to ensure safety, operational and financial targets are exceeded.
  • Uphold and improve company safety program and performance
