Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations. This pivotal role involves managing personnel, coordinating projects, ensuring safety compliance, and optimizing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for streamlining processes to achieve excellence in every project.

Duties

  • Oversee daily operational activities across multiple job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Supervise team members including field staff, administrative personnel, and subcontractors to foster a productive work environment
  • Coordinate scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics for excavation projects utilizing Hydrovac, directional drills.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies through regular training and monitoring
  • Manage procurement processes including purchasing equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for operations
  • Handle customer relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
  • Oversee administrative functions such as payroll processing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and record keeping to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience in construction or excavation industries with a focus on team management and project coordination
  • Strong knowledge of Hydrovac operations & Directional drilling.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for vendor contracts, client agreements, and team negotiations.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to communicate effectively with diverse teams and clients
  • Experience in recruiting, training & development of staff, and performance management
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills coupled with phone etiquette and customer service expertise
  • Ability to handle cash handling responsibilities accurately while maintaining attention to detail in math-related tasks
  • Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, motivate staff, and foster continuous improvement
  • Multilingual skills are considered an asset for effective communication across diverse teams
