Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. Must be able to work evenings and weekends. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with strong skills in food handling, sanitation, and cash handling. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail setting where teamwork and efficiency are valued.

Duties

  • Prepare and assemble deli items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their selections, and answering questions.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Restock shelves, organize displays, and ensure product freshness throughout the shift.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all items served.
  • Manage time effectively to handle multiple tasks during busy periods while maintaining high service standards.
  • Assist in training new team members on food preparation, and safety protocols.

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and good communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
