About Plexcon Construction Inc.

Plexcon Construction (Plexcon.ca) is a Toronto-based builder specializing in multiplex conversions and custom homes. We transform properties into high-quality, income-generating spaces while maintaining craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to execution. Our work focuses on creating functional, well-built projects that add long-term value for homeowners, investors, and end users.

As Plexcon continues to grow, we are looking for strong leaders in the residential building field who take pride in their work, know how to run efficient sites, and can help deliver top-tier results across our residential construction projects.

The Role

We’re hiring a Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day residential construction operations on site. You will be the boots-on-the-ground leader responsible for keeping projects organized, trades moving, schedules on track, and workmanship up to standard.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-driven, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced residential construction environment. If you know how to take ownership of a site, solve problems quickly, and drive projects forward without constant oversight, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations and ensure work is progressing according to schedule
  • Enforce site safety standards and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Manage subcontractors, trades, labour, and material deliveries
  • Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, including short-term lookahead planning
  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs to monitor productivity, quality, and deficiencies
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure compliance with the Ontario Building Code and permit requirements
  • Review drawings and specifications and identify conflicts, missing details, or potential issues before they create delays
  • Maintain quality control across all phases of construction, from structural work through final finishes
  • Keep detailed site logs, daily reports, photo documentation, and progress updates
  • Coordinate site logistics, sequencing, and material flow to keep work moving efficiently
  • Track deficiencies and ensure timely correction by the responsible trades
  • Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
  • Work closely with project management to communicate progress, scheduling issues, budget concerns, and change orders
  • Manage site access, security, and overall site readiness each day
  • Act as the on-site leader, solving problems before they become delays and keeping all parties accountable

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of residential construction experience
  • Multiplex conversion, custom home, or residential building experience is a must
  • Solid knowledge of the Ontario Building Code, inspections, and permitting processes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with trades, consultants, suppliers, and clients
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts while maintaining deadlines and quality standards
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to site management
  • Experience working on fast-paced residential projects in Toronto is preferred
  • Post-secondary construction education is an asset, but equivalent field experience will also be considered

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software platforms
  • Valid G driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites throughout downtown Toronto and the GTA

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience
  • Exciting residential projects across Toronto
  • Opportunity to work with a growing builder in a specialized niche
  • Long-term growth potential as Plexcon continues to expand
  • A chance to play a key role in shaping projects from the ground up

Why Join Plexcon?

At Plexcon, you won’t just be another employee on a large corporate team. You’ll be part of a growing company that values accountability, craftsmanship, and execution. We are building a reputation in the multiplex and custom home space by delivering quality work and staying hands-on throughout the process.

This is an opportunity for the right person to grow with the company, take ownership of meaningful projects, and be part of a team helping redefine residential construction in Toronto.
