About us
Discovery Walk In and Medical Clinic is looking for new team members! Part time hours to start, potential for full time hours after summer.
Job Title: Medical Office Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients at the front desk
- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks and procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar administrative role is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a must
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic health record software (our clinic uses Accurro)
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
