Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Subway Sandwich Artist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious sandwiches, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe food environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food preparation, has experience in food service, and enjoys working in a fast-paced restaurant setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and upselling while contributing to a positive dining experience for our customers.

Duties

  • Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to Subway standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Operate the Micros POS system for order processing and cash handling accurately.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions, and providing product recommendations.
  • Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
  • Restock supplies as needed and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Follow all food safety regulations and restaurant policies to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers.

Qualifications

  • Previous food preparation or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and inventory management.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Experience in cashiering, serving, or the food industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to multitask during busy hours.
  • A positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
