KPC Power Electrical Ltd. is a progressive, high-voltage electrical contractor located in Ajax, Ontario, Canada.

We specialize in high-voltage substation maintenance, construction, retrofits and wholesale energy-metering services. KPC houses all specialties internally to professionally implement all work, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

We are dedicated to improving the reliability of each power system we work on, while dramatically reducing unwanted interruptions. Our work focuses primarily on the Utility, Industry and Institutional sectors, industries where stability and reliability of power is extremely critical.

The Role:

· High Voltage / Power System maintenance, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting

· Assist with information collection and analysis for Arc-Flash and Coordination Studies.

· Performing a wide range of engineering technology tasks by operating computer-assisted test, analysis & design engineering software and equipment.

· Prepare project reports by collecting, summarizing, analyzing and interpreting information; drawing correct conclusions and making appropriate recommendations.

· Communicate with customers, engineers, and others to discuss the relevant relative merits of existing or potential engineering products or projects, problems and potential solutions.

· Provide engineering information by answering technical questions and requests.

Skills and Requirements:

· Must be a self-starting, team player and able to work with minimal supervision.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· 3+ years contractor/utility field experience.

· Problem solving, action and solutions-oriented doer.

· Proficient in use of electrical engineering design and analysis software as well as common enterprise software and knowledge of applicable IEE & NETA standards.

· Physically fit, able to lift various types and weights of equipment.

· Ability to travel to job sites, with some extended stay from time to time.

· Safety conscious and willing to learn and adapt to changing technologies in the industry.

· Clean driving record, minimum G class license required, D class license would be an asset.

Education/Certifications:

· Post Secondary education in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician/Technology program or equivalent

· OACETT certification preferred
