Job Overview
We are seeking 3 dedicated and passionate teachers to teach AP Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or Psychology.

This role involves delivering engaging and comprehensive instruction to high school students preparing for Advanced Placement exams. The ideal candidate will possess strong subject matter expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Experience in tutoring, classroom management, and laboratory work is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ academic success and future college readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with AP curriculum standards for Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or Psychology
  • Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate interactive classroom activities to enhance student understanding
  • Prepare students for AP exams through targeted review sessions and practice assessments
  • Provide individualized tutoring and support to students needing extra help in subject areas
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with students and parents regarding academic performance
  • Incorporate laboratory experiments and hands-on activities where applicable, ensuring safety protocols are followed
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and special education needs
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and academic growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Psychology, or a related field
  • Prior classroom experience teaching high school students in AP courses preferred
  • Strong knowledge of subject matter including Math integration where applicable
  • Experience with tutoring or one-on-one student support highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively
  • Familiarity with laboratory procedures and safety protocols for science courses
  • Ability to adapt lessons for students with special education needs is a plus
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success and professional development

Pay: $35.00-$50.00 per hour
