We are a Designated Special Education Private School for grades 3-12. Our year round Community Services department reaches over 1,000 individuals annually. Foothills Academy is seeking a reliable and hardworking Full-Time Summer Student to join our Maintenance and Cleaning Team for the summer season.

Eligibility (Canada Summer Jobs):
This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. Applicants must be 15–30 years old at the start of employment, legally entitled to work in Canada, and meet all ESDC eligibility requirements.

Qualifications:

• Ability to safely lift 25–40 lbs
• Experience operating a swing machine is an asset, but willingness to learn is required
• Experience applying floor wax is an asset, but willingness to learn is required
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious

Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Complete minor maintenance tasks as required
• Operate a floor swing machine (training provided if needed)
• Apply floor wax and assist with floor care programs (training provided if needed)
• Lift and move materials, equipment, and supplies weighing between 25–40 lbs
• Assist with other maintenance and cleaning duties as assigned
