As we continue to expand and develop new course content, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Content Review Intern to assist our curriculum development team.

Job Description

Are you highly detail-oriented with strong English language and comprehension skills? Do you enjoy reviewing content, spotting inconsistencies, and ensuring information is clear, accurate, and easy to understand?

Alberta Real Estate School is seeking a temporary Content Review Intern to support the development of our new educational programs. This position is ideal for a student, recent graduate, aspiring educator, or someone with strong analytical and language skills who is interested in education, content development, and quality assurance.

In this role, you will work closely with our curriculum team to compare newly designed course content against existing course materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with our educational standards.

Responsibilities

Content Review & Quality Assurance

  • Review newly developed course content and compare it against existing course materials.
  • Cross-reference information to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Identify discrepancies, omissions, duplications, and unclear explanations.
  • Verify terminology, definitions, examples, and educational concepts throughout course materials.

Content Organization

  • Assist in organizing and maintaining course development documents.
  • Track revisions and document suggested changes.
  • Ensure content follows established formatting and style guidelines.

Proofreading & Editing

  • Proofread content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and readability.
  • Provide feedback on clarity, flow, and learner comprehension.
  • Flag content that may be confusing or require further review by subject matter experts.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with instructors, curriculum developers, and project leads.
  • Participate in content review meetings and provide constructive feedback.
  • Assist with additional course development and administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

Required

  • Exceptional English language, grammar, and reading comprehension skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in written content.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is an asset.

Preferred

  • Experience with proofreading, editing, content review, academic writing, or quality assurance.
  • Post-secondary education in English, Education, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with real estate, mortgage, finance, or professional education industries is considered an asset.
