Position Overview: We offer a seasonal contract from mid August, 2026, to early December, 2026, with opportunities to return for our spring season, for subsequent school years, or even for a full time permanent career.
Successful applicants must be able to arrive at various school locations within the BC Lower Mainland by 7:45 AM and will typically finish their day by 11:45 AM, though it will sometimes end earlier or later.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our full time staff members, who will lead your session, to deliver a seamless photography experience for clients.
- Capture high-quality images for school portraits, groups, and graduations.
- Ensure smooth operation of photo sessions, maintaining our high standards of image quality and customer satisfaction.
- Interact positively with students, their families, and school staff to create memorable photography experiences.
- Set up and dismantle photography equipment at school locations.
Requirements:
- A true people person. You will engage with students, families, and school staff, creating a warm and positive atmosphere during photo sessions. Your ability to connect with people of all ages, make them feel comfortable, and bring out their best expressions is essential. Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor are a must, as you will be the face of our company at every event.
- Highly energetic and dynamic. We photograph thousands of students weekly, requiring candidates to be on their feet and able to move around and bend down freely. We spend some time on our knees, and down at eye level of younger subjects.
- Previous photography experience is beneficial but not necessary. We value individuals who enjoy working with children and youth. Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the skills to take excellent photos!
- Team-oriented with a keen eye for detail. Candidates should work well in a team and be detail-focused.
- A valid BC driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle are required. This position requires travelling to different school locations throughout the Lower Mainland, many of which are not easily accessible by public transit. Applicants must be able to reliably arrive at assigned locations by 7:45 AM.
Successful candidates must reside in the Lower Mainland and be legally eligible to work in Canada. You must be able to reliably commute to various locations. Due to the nature of our work with children and minors, passing a criminal record check will be required
Benefits:
- Starting pay rate of $30-$50 per hour for photography sessions dependent on experience, with additional living wage hourly pay options available for additional work office work hours
