Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Civil Gradesman to join our team. This role is critical in supporting site operations and ensuring accurate layout and grading for civil construction projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from construction drawings, elevations, and structural plans
  • Perform grading and layout using laser levels and GPS rover equipment
  • Read and set lath accurately for grading and excavation work
  • Transfer and maintain benchmarks across site
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, surveyors, and equipment operators
  • Guide heavy equipment operators to achieve precise grading results
  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail

The ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience as a gradesman in commercial or civil construction
  • Strong understanding of elevations, site layout, and grading principles
  • Experience with GPS rover systems (considered an asset)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and survey data
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High level of precision and attention to detail
