Remote Fishing Resort in the Wilderness -North West Ontario

Zup’s Fishing Resort & Canoe Outfitters is looking for highly motivated, & experienced Servers, Kitchen hand, & Housekeepers who want to be part of the unique remote experience we offer our private island guests. The seclusion of island life and immersion in the wilderness of Lac La Croix can be a season of personal fulfilment for the ideal candidate.

We serve breakfast and Dinner to our guests in our dinning room. For lunch our customers have the option of Shore lunch kits or Sandwich lunches.

Serving, housekeeping and Kitchen staff will need to be experienced in serving, cleaning, kitchen background, and have a passion for excellence in customer service.

This position is a seasonal full- time position from May – October 1 st

Responsibilities and Experience:

-Serving Breakfast and Dinner in our dining room

- Cleaning Customer Cabins Daily

- Turn Over Cabins

- Cabin Laundry (Bedding, Towels)

- Kitchen dishes during meal services

-Kitchen Prep

- Assisting the servers clean the Main Lodge and its 4 bathrooms

- Help prepare bag lunches for guests.

- Maintaining excellent communication with management, servers and most importantly our chef.

- being a team player, and working well with other staff, and customers.

-Willing to help other members of the team if they need extra help doing a task.

- Customer service skills as well as holding a friendly and respectful demeaner while under pressure.

- Maintain a clean, organized, safe and hazard free work environment

- Be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision

Your work schedule will be 7 days per week. Time off along with a weeks vacation is included during this contract

Your morning will start with breakfast service, dishes, making bag lunches for customers, a hot breakfast, & assisting the servers when needed. Cabins cleaning starts as soon as the customers leave the docks in the morning. We offer daily maid service, and turnovers could be daily depending on customer package length. Laundry is done daily. Stocking cleaning supplies, and maintaining clean organized work areas.

After lunch there is a rotation for who finishes up lunch staff dishes, and cleans staff area of Main Lodge. (less than an hour typically.)

You have your afternoons off and report back to work after dinner. Evening duties include: Dinner service dishes, Stocking designated areas, and helping the chef pull groceries needed from stock for the next day. Working with the chef and server if they may need assistance.

On your off time, you can enjoy swimming, canoeing, boating, fishing, hiking and enjoying the untouched wilderness we are surrounded by. We have staff housing, and room and board will be negotiable after a performance report after the first month.
