The Crossing Resort is a family owned and operated seasonal employer open from mid-April to mid-October. We are in Banff National Park, 80 kms north of Lake Louise, Alberta on the Icefield's Highway. The Parkway is marketed as one of the top ten most scenic drives in Canada. The Crossing boosts the best hiking the Canadian Rockies has to offer.

We provide staff accommodation and all meals and snacks for under $400/month! The Crossing will train, absorb some ground transportation cost, provide uniforms, all bed and bathroom linens as well as some amenities. Every great meal starts with a clean plate. While the chefs get the applause, the Dishwasher is the engine room of our kitchen. If you’re a high-energy person who likes to stay busy, works well under pressure, and enjoys being part of a tight-knit crew, we’ve got a spot for you.

We are looking for a reliable Steward / Dishwasher to join our team at The Crossing Resort.

Your Role in the Kitchen

You aren’t just "washing dishes"—you are ensuring the safety of our guests and the speed of our service.

  • Command the Station: Operate industrial dishwashers efficiently and wash delicate glassware or heavy pots by hand when needed.
  • Organization Pro: Keep the "pit" organized so the service team can find clean plates and silverware exactly when they need them.
  • Chemical Safety: Maintain a basic understanding of sanitization standards and safely handle cleaning chemicals.
  • Support the Line: Assist with basic prep work (like peeling potatoes) or light cleaning tasks during slower periods to keep the kitchen sparkling.

What We Need From You

  • Speed & Grit: You can keep your cool when the "dinner rush" hits and the bins are full.
  • Physical Ability: You’re okay with standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a hot, humid environment.
  • Reliability: You show up on time and ready to hustle.
  • No Experience? No Problem: We are happy to train anyone with the right attitude and a strong work ethic.

Contract length: 6 months
