Full job description

Rice Contracting Ltd. is hiring a Site Superintendent to lead day-to-day site operations on commercial and industrial projects. You'll be the on-site leader responsible for coordination of trades, productivity, quality, and schedule execution-supporting builds that may include Butler® pre-engineered steel buildings and conventional construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily site activity: sequencing, manpower coordination, site logistics, and inspections.

  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and avoid downtime.

  • Maintain quality control: verify work meets drawings/specs; reduce deficiencies and rework.

  • Track progress and report constraints/risks early to the Project Manager.

  • Maintain site documentation: daily reports, delivery logs, photos, and progress updates.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a superintendent/foreman on commercial or industrial projects.

  • Strong knowledge of structural sequencing (including steel building projects as an asset).

  • Ability to read drawings/specs and coordinate multiple trades.

  • Clear leadership and communication skills.

  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
