Position Title: Dishwasher

Location: Salt Yard Social and the Beer Garden (the BG), Halifax, NS (waterfront)

Job type: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary Range: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Job Description

Legendary Hospitality in the heart of Downtown Halifax are looking for a Dish Supervisor to join our team at Salt Yard Social and the Beer Garden (the BG) for the summer. We are looking for a passionate hard working individual to join our kitchen teams. With core values focused around the people we employ and the customers we serve, we are looking for like-minded individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Properly wash and sort dishes
  • Set-up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks
  • Responsible for maintaining the inventory for cleaning and sanitizing products and communicating inventory needs to the executive chef for approval
  • Maintain the kitchen, workrooms, storerooms and equipment for cleanliness and order
  • Responsible for proper disposal of venue waste
  • Be an integral part of the Legendary guest experience

About you

  • 1+ years experience an asset
  • A working knowledge of cuisine is an asset but not necessary
  • Must be punctual, reliable, have ability to work as a team and independently and have a strong work ethic

Work Environment

  • Physical demands include walking and standing, bending, kneeling, repetitive twisting and lifting, and repetitive arm movements
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs
  • Uniforms and PPE provided by LHG must be worn during work hours

Work Authorization

  • Must be authorized to legally work in Canada

Pay: $16.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
