Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable, dedicated, and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our automotive manufacturing team on the day shift. This role supports the cleanliness and safety of our daily production operations. The individual will be required to be safety-focused, detailed- oriented, and capable of performing physical tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in custodial work, facilities maintenance, or commercial cleaning, along with communication and time management skills.

Key Responsiblities

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks on the factory floor, like sweeping and mopping
  • Operate cleaning equipment like brooms, mops, behind floor mechanical scrubber
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding completed tasks or any issues encountered
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Support other departments as required to meet production demands

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience in a factory environment would be an asset
  • Familiarity with basic cleaning facilities maintenance is a plus
  • Ability to safely perform heavy lifting and handle physical demands of the role
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
